Moving can be a stressful and exhausting experience, it is even worse if the move is unexpected. A sudden relocation because of a job change may be great in the long run, but it will bring several challenges. If this is happening to you now or will happen in the very near future, here are a few things you can start doing now:
- Contact me to determine the value of your home and whether it would be best to rent it out or sell it.
- Take a good look at the finances available for the move and set a budget
- Plan to have any repairs needed on the home completed as soon as possible
- Schedule time to search for a home in your new location with a referal agent I can connect you with.
- Call the moving company and lock in your dates.
- Remember, expenses related to relocation due to job change are tax deductible.
- Most importantly, remain calm and ask for my help whenever you need it!
